Friends,

It's been a full few weeks since the last time I posted; some travel, lots of family time with Mitch being home, new opportunities at church, job hunting, Ruby's care, etc. Life has been full, and we are doing well.

Thanks for your continued prayer for Ruby Joy. We had a very difficult 2-3 weeks again; with severe vomiting and reflux last month. She took a turn for the better, however, after a group of people prayed over her at our house. Thank you, Lord. Ruby continues to struggle with vomiting/reflux, but it is under better control now wherein she is beginning to gain weight again. We are working with a GI doctor trying various things to treat the reflux/vomiting. We still have hope for Ruby's feeding abilities! Thank the Lord for some progress in the area of digestion, and pray that the solution to Ruby's reflux would meet her this month.

Ruby also suffers from chronic congestion which can compromise her breathing making many things difficult. The Geneticist doctor that we saw recently guesses that whenever she is spitting up it she is also aspirating some, which is causing chronic congestion of the lungs. Thankfully, she continues to move air (breath) really well despite all that spitting up, which even to the doctor was really pleased about. Pray that Jesus would heal completely whatever is causing the chronic congestion.

I think Mitch and I fall in love with Ruby more everyday. She is such a beautiful gift in our lives.
